Per celebrare i 30 anni di “What’s Love Got To Do With It” di TINA TURNER ha pubblicato una nuovissima raccolta di album in edizione speciale che include un live.

Il cofanetto da 4CD/1DVD includerà l’album originale rimasterizzato su CD1, mentre il CD2 conterrà una raccolta di edit, remix e acapellas. I CD3 e 4 contengono lo spettacolo dal vivo di Tina al Blockbuster Pavilion nel 1993 rimasterizzato che può essere visto anche sul DVD insieme a tre video musicali. Il cofanetto include anche un poster e un libretto di 24 pagine. Ulteriori formati di album includono un singolo LP, un doppio CD e sono disponibili per lo streaming digitale.

Pubblicato originariamente il 15 giugno 1993, “What’s Love Got To Do With It” è stato un successo commerciale e di critica. L’album è stato la colonna sonora dell’omonimo film biografico di Tina Turner e ha raggiunto il primo posto nel Regno Unito, entrando anche nella top 10 in Svizzera, Germania, Austria, Canada e nella top 20 negli Stati Uniti.

L’album divenne un disco di platino in tutto il mondo, inclusi Regno Unito, Stati Uniti e Svizzera, una raccolta di canzoni, alcune delle quali sono state ri-registrate dal periodo di Tina con Ike e Tina Turner, inclusa “A Fool In Love”, oltre a cinque canzoni nuove di zecca, una delle quali – “I Don’t Wanna Fight” – divenne una delle prime 10 hit sia nel Regno Unito che negli Stati Uniti.

L’album include anche la versione di Turner del classico disco dei Trammps “Disco Inferno”, una canzone che aveva spesso eseguito dal vivo alla fine degli anni settanta ma mai registrata prima in studio. Sono incluse anche le tracce del suo rivoluzionario album solista del 1984 “Private Dancer”, la title track e una diversa versione remixata di “I Might Have Been Queen”.

Tina ha venduto oltre 200 milioni di dischi e ha avuto dieci singoli di successo nella top ten del Regno Unito e nove album sempre nella top 10 del Regno Unito ed è stata la prima artista donna ad avere una hit nella top 40 in sei decenni consecutivi nel Regno Unito. I suoi album tra fisico e digitale hanno ottenuto 20 dischi di Platino nel Regno Unito e 9 dischi di Platino negli Stati Uniti, realizzando enormi vendite anche nel resto del mondo. Tina ha vinto otto Grammy Awards ed è stata nominata per ben atlri 25 Grammy.
